The Awkwardness and Silence

I have once again, reached the point where blogging becomes a chore. That pretty sums up my absence of 10 days. Feeling totally uninspired yet obliged to construct an entry to prevent wasted visits from fellow readers, here is one very short update.

Unlike everyone, my CNY was un-fabulous except for the final day at my place. I was sitting alone most of the time; using my phone, switching tv channels, nibbling on cashew nuts, and stealing glances at the clock. It wasn't like this the year before, not ever. Maybe things have changed, I have changed. Interaction is slowly turning into a chore, yes another chore, like blogging. Gone were those days where mingling is a joyous activity. I'd rather be left alone, then be trapped in the most awkward and undesirable situation with cousins whom I have yet to speak to for a year. Like Alli said, maybe we are just too comfortable with our own circle of friends. We live in this bubble, one that is impenetrable. x
