Wake Up Call

Life is short. Life is unpredictable. Life is all about choices.

How do you define your life? Is it meaningful or pointless? Do you live for the sake of existing, or do you live for the sake of achieving goals and making the best out of this opportunity?

Do you think about your future, or do get by each day without a purpose? It is a choice that we can make. Humans vary- mindset, personalities, outlook, upbringing, and many more that contribute to our differences. For me, i love to plan my days ahead- slotting people into my 'weekly schedule' in an attempt to maximize the limited time that i have at hand. For others, they may enjoy sleeping away their entire morning and/or afternoon, only to realize that they are left with almost two-third of their day wasted. Well, it really depends on individuals cos some may seek pleasure in the latter.

For time is not always on your side, it is crucial to organise or plan. There are things that we 'have to do' as well as things that we 'like to do'. I must say that it is the former that contributes to our bright future and should never ever be neglected. Yes, we take delight in shopping, gaming, chilling, clubbing, gambling- activities that are within our interest. But it is only through education or work, that we can achieve the necessary value in life to survive each day and feed our daily needs. Studying may not be our forte, but we do understand its significance to our future. By excelling in school, we know that our future is more or less secured. I believe nobody enjoys studying, who in the right mind will? Okay, with the exception of certain geeks. Unfortunately, it falls under the category of things that we 'have to do'. Every step that we take, from playing truant to cheating and sleeping during classes, affects our grades and ultimately, our own future. And once again, it is a choice that we make, to pay attention or simply slack, that determines how our life will be in years to come.

Life is full of opportunities- both good and bad. Be intelligent; think hard and make a wise move. Now question yourself, are you in the right path towards your future? It is never too late to make changes for the better.

Life's Like This

It's the eve of christmas and im pondering on life matters once again. No, im neither pessimistic nor depressed, in fact i think im pretty blessed and contented with whatever i have right now. Im just being reflective and looking at my life on a different level. Afterall, life isnt as simple as we think.

Some of us tend to regret about certain decisions we make, about certain things we do or say, and wish that we can just erase or change history.

Often, we would ask ourselves..

What if you could do it all over again?
What if you had a second chance?
What if we had known each other earlier?
What if another decision was made, another path taken?
What if everything did not turn out this way?

In life, there are plenty of 'What Ifs' but it isnt something that we should ponder about. History isnt going to change, for the time machine has yet to be invented. It is high time that we accept the present, wake up to reality and live life the way it is. For life is linear, it is moving forward and never moving back.

The Awkward Silence

Ahoy fellow mateys,

well o' well the long waited holidays have finally arrived, and life just keeps getting better! right, this is a major lie cos im not too fond of myself at the moment. hmmm lets just say ive been recently affected by how some underage mammoth (HAHAHAHA) criticized me for being a social butterfly? an ugly one to be exact, how hurtful. it really sucks to be in singapore, where everybody is so narrow minded, conservative and basically living with this fucking warped mindset. oh and im not refering to anyone in particular for the above statement, just speaking in general terms.

so anyway i was at jiak kim street last night, fun as it is, crowded as always. really glad to have a couple of my classmates around, as well as my awesome babies (: i guess life is still good and thou shall not let petty annoyances pull me down. on a random note, its bout a week to christmas, how excitingggg- i cant wait to get my hands on the roast turkey! okay, im just kidding. yeah and right after christmas is a brand new year with resolutions, followed by CNY and graduation, and then what else? i have doubts on entering the local universities, but pursuing a degree in another country is yet another dreadful and major decision.

damn, i should seriously free myself from all these thoughts right now, else i'll go on with an essay of a thousand words. alright, happy holidays people and then till, xo!

Hey earthlings,

ive finally created a blog to pen my random thoughts, well maybe a little bout my life and of course the things that get me inspired on a daily basis. sadly, ive been really busy during this period of time with truckloads of assignments and deadlines to meet, but i wont neglect this new found space of mine.

on a random note, i miss my best friends badly- you guys know who you are, i wont be seeing you till thurs ): oh how i dread being alone at home.
