At home, on a regular weekday
Last Sunday
My 'die-die must have' yoghurt from Coffee Bean..
and Sushi Tei for dinner.
Yesterday
Dinner at Aerin's
I realized that I no longer patronize hawker centers, food courts, fast food outlets (besides Subway, occasionally Carl's Jr) or anything like that. Frankly speaking, I'm not a fan of Asian cuisine. We don't consume rice at home, my mom makes sandwiches for me, pasta at times, chicken chop, grilled salmon.. oh yes and sushi. And speaking of that, I figured that's the only Asian cuisine that I fancy. Wait, is it even Asian, is Japanese cuisine classified under Asian? Aye.. anyway you'll probably get what I mean.
So my Friday and Saturday were the highlights of this week. Finally got to see J after three weeks or probably a month.. How could we even allow ourselves to be away from each other for such a long period of time? Sometimes, no most of the times I wish that she's my classmate so that we can spend more time together. Now that I'm attending school, I can hardly find time for friends, friends that I used to be close to. Or maybe it's just the lost of interest in sustaining friendships. I used to be close to an army of people from primary school to secondary to poly and a couple whom I met elsewhere.. but not now. Maybe I just gave up on trying to keep them in my life or you can say that I don't actually need them anyway. I mean they lead their own lives with friends of their own, I doubt my existence makes a difference to them.
Okay enough of solemn sam, I shall be on my way to download more annoying lectures from Blackboard. Before I leave, here's a quick birthday shout-out to my BFF in advance:
Happy Birthday J! I've known you for another year so that makes us friends for 4 years.. well almost there. Like we always say- people walk in and out of our lives; while many have disconnected from ours, I believe that you are one that will stay to witness my graduation, my first official job, my marriage, the birth of my children, my first ever botox jab (and subsequent ones), my wedding anniversaries.. and when time comes, my hair falling, my skin sagging as face lifts cease to work, memory loss and perhaps vision too, and eventually the day when I depart from this world! And of course, I'll definitely be there to witness all these events happening to you too. Love you till the end of time (even when wrinkles form and R refuses to take a second glance at you), here's to eternal friendship! xx
